The query of whether we are in real-time need of lifelong learning should be unquestionable. Since we do not interrogate why we need to eat when we are hungry or why we fall asleep. The quest for the secret mantra to live strongly will be the process of lifelong learning. While we engage in thinking about the purpose of lifelong learning, we may tend to underestimate the power of it.
“ Certainly, we need to learn, until we cannot hold our breath ”
The life we thrive on is full of challenges that can be endured with the help of acquiring the habit of learning. Lifelong learning would make us efficient in terms of our skills that we cannot inherit, but we may require it to compete against the hurdles in our survival.
We need to learn as we leisurely, and not just as a vocational need to earn. In leisure and in our serious lives, we are ultimately an evolving society where lifelong learning ought to become an integral part of our lives. In most odds of our lives, we oversee making decisions in many circumstances. We need to learn in our lifespan, in order to reduce the risk, we could encounter by missing out on details. Hence, when we mention decision making it includes both leisure and serious life. For example, it could be a matter of choice for grocery items or selecting a job in a firm.
We as human beings are living creatures, “as long as we live, we grow''. We grow by being upgraded. As we mentioned about selecting a job, securing our job is also equally important. In our workforce, upgrading ourselves in terms of experiential training, and additional qualifications all would return as an outcome in uplifting our employment position. Securing our jobs would become easier by continuous learning to seek promotion and increment, as we have given ourselves the access to unleash the gateways ahead, and not to others. We could be a locksmith to find the treasures, rather than searching. And, one can be a locksmith, only at the cost of learning.
The more we learn about anything, the less effort we can put into our work. However easy it sounds; our lifelong learning has to be passionate considering that everything requires our energy, so “We learn when we have will”. There may be a bounty of criticism about lifelong learning, as new things are going to take time to be adopted. Yet we cannot avoid it, since there are countless days to witness lifelong learning being the air, we breathe
